Blocking
Die meisten Strick- und Häkelprojekte sehen besser aus, wenn Sie geblockt werden, um alle Stiche und Fasern auszugleichen. Das ist definitiv der Fall, wenn ihr handgemachte Objekte aus Baumwolle habt, die wochen- oder monatelang im Häkelkorb lagen.
Das Blockieren ist besonders nützlich bei Projekten mit mehreren gehäkelten oder gestrickten "Quadraten". Sie sind viel einfacher zusammenzunähen wenn sie alle eine Größe haben.
Dieses selbstgemachte Blockingboard ist recht günstig, kann jahrelang verwendet werden und passt für viele kleine Häkelprojekte.
In einem Baumarkt habe ich ein schönes Stück Holz und ein paar glatte Holzstäbchen gekauft. Mein Vater bohrte dann die Löcher dann mit einem Abstand von 1.5 Zentimetern (von Mitte Loch zu Mitte Loch gemessen). Die Stäbchen hat er in 15 cm lange Stücke gesägt. Ich denke, dass Blockingboard sieht ziemlich gut aus und wurde bereits für verschiedene Projekte benutzt. Es ist echt praktisch, einen Vater mit DIY-Talenten zu haben.
Bevor ich die gehäkelten Teile aufsetze besprühe ich sie mit etwas Wasser aus einer Sprühflasche und lasse sie dann trocknen.
Most knit and crochet projects look better with a bit of blocking to even out all the stitches and fiber, but this is definitely the case when your handmade object is made of cotton and has been balled up in the bottom of your crochet basket for weeks or months.

This homemade blocking board is quite cheap and can be used for years and years and fits many different small crochet projects.
In a diy store a bought a nice piece of wood and a couple of smooth woodsticks. My dad then drilled the wholes with a distance of 1.5 centimeres between (measured from middle of the hole to middle of the hole) and cut the sticks into 15 cm long pieces.
I think that blocking board looks rather nice and has been used for different tasks already. It's quite handy to have a dad with diy talents.
Before putting the crochet pieces on I spray them with a little water from a spray bottle and then just let them dry.
