Die Anleitung für den kleinen Christmas Cracker habe ich aus einem englischen Anleitungsbuch, das mir mein Freund zu Weihnachten geschenkt hat. Es heisst "Crochet your Christmas Baubles" und wurde von stichcraftcreate.co.uk herausgegeben. The pattern for the Christmas Cracker I found in a book my boyfriend gave me for Christmas. Ich kanns kaum erwarten, bis zum 1. Dezember. It's done, the 24 tulip-candle-jar-cosy are finshed and wrapped up, ready for Advent. I can't wait until 1st December to open my first gift.

Den Rentierkopf habe ich nach einer Gratis-Anleitung von Drops Design namens "Rudolf" gehäkelt ( www.garnstudio.com ). Ich habe Garn verwendet, das ich schon zu Hause hatte, deshalb sieht das Geweih etwas anders aus. Auf die Anleitung für diesen zauberhaften Weihnachts-Gnom wurde ich auf Facebook durch einen Post von Kim Guzman "Make it Crochet" aufmerksam. Die Anleitung stammt vom Blog von Nerissa Mujis www.missneriss.com/2015/12/03/crochet-christmas-gnome . Der kleine Kerl ist einfach süss und an einem Abend zu schaffen. Anstelle einer gehäkelten Nase habe ich eine Perle verwendet. Mein Freund ist ein richtiger Weihnachtsfan. Er würde am liebsten schon Anfang November unsere Wohnung dekorieren. Vor 2 Jahren habe ich ihm einen Adventskalender mit selbstgemachtem Baumschmuck gemacht. Die Anleitungen dazu habe ich aus Zeitschriften und dem Internet zusammengesucht. Ich liebe Wimpelketten und wir haben schon ein paar sehr schöne aus Stoff zu Hause. Natürlich musste es auch noch eine Häkelversion geben. Die Wimpel sind ganz einfach zu häkeln: Reihe 1: 4 Luftmaschen anschlagen, 3 Stäbchen in die 1 Luftmasche häkeln. Reihe 2: 3 Wendeluftmaschen, in jede Masche 2 Stäbchen häkeln. ab Reihe 3: In die erste und die letzte Masche jeweils 2 Stäbchen häkeln, dazwischen jeweils 1 Stäbchen pro Masche. So viele Reihe häkeln bis die gewünschte Grösse des Wimpels erreicht ist. Einige habe ich noch mit creme umhäkelt (Stäbchen und Kettmaschen im Wechsel), aber mir gefallen sie mit oder ohne Rand. Für die Patentochter meines Freundes wollte ich zu Weihnachten etwas selber machen. Da sie immer sehr viele Dinge mit sich rumschleppt (Plüschtiere, Kartenspiele, Stifte, Krimskrams etc.) habe ich einen Beutel mit ihrem Namen im Tapestry-Stil gehäkelt. Die Vorlage habe ich wieder im Excel gemacht. Den Beutel habe ich mit einem schönen Stoff gefüttert und einen Reissverschluss angenäht. Sie hat sich sehr darüber gefreut. Der Patentochter meines Freundes wollte ich auf den Geburtstag einen kleinen Geldbetrag schenken. Sie kam bald darauf zu uns in die Ferien und so hatte sie etwas Taschengeld zur Verfügung. Bloss Geld fand ich aber doof und so habe ich ein kleines Portemonnaie gehäkelt. Die Anleitung habe ich auf Pinterest gefunden.  My boyfriend's goddaughter was coming to stay for us for a holiday. Her birthday was before that so I decided to give her some money to spend while on holiday with us. I thought the money needs a nice wrapping so I crocheted a little purse. Diese Babyfinkli habe ich für die Tochter einer guten Freundin gehäkelt. Ich habe sie mir aus verschiedenen Anleitungen zusammengebastelt und sie sehen in Ordnung aus. Babyfinkli werden aber sicher nicht mein neues Hobby. Ich fand vor allem schwierig, die richtige Grösse zu finden. I crocheted these baby shoes for the baby daughter of a good friend. Zur Abwechseln häkle ich manchmal Geschenkbeutel, dazu zeichne ich mir ein Design im Excel auf und häkle es anschliessend in Stäbchen. Mein erstes Tapestry-Projekt habe ich noch mit festen Maschen gemacht, aber das hat mir ungeduldigem Wesen dann zu lange gedauert. Also habe ich mir im Excel eine Tabelle gebastelt, damit die Muster auch mit Stäbchen aufgehen und los ging es. Ich finde die rote Rose sticht schön raus mit dem dunkelgrauen Garn. Leider gibt es das nicht mehr. Aber ich finde sicher mal ein anderes Produkt das auch passt. For a change I like to crochet small gift bags. I design them in excel and then crochet them using double crochet. My first Tapestry project I did with single crochet but this took way too long. So I made an excel sheet with the right size boxes to make the design work with double crochet. I like the way the red rose stands out. Unfortunately this dark grey yarn is not available anymore.

Im Molly Makes Magazin habe ich das "Rezept" für das Lavendel-Peeling gesehen und musste es gleich ausprobieren. Ich habe gleich eine grosse Schüssel angemischt und als kleines Mitbringsel für Freundinne in kleine Weckgläser abgefüllt. Das Rezept: 5 Löffel Meersalz in eine Schüssel geben. Zwei Löffel Olivenöl dazugeben. Salz und Olivenöl gut mischen. 3 - 5 Tropfen Lavendelöl oder Lavendelessenz untermischen. 2 Löffel getrocknete Lavendelblüten untermischen. Das Öl kann sich nach ein paar Tagen am Boden ansetzen, dann einfach nochmal gut durchmischen. I spotted a recipe for Lavender body scrub which I had to try out immediately. Am Anfang bestand unsere Deko vor der Eingangstüre noch aus einer Kiste mit etwas drauf, mittlerweile ist es schon etwas grösser geworden. Aber Besucher sollen sich doch willkommen fühlen! Ich freu mich schon, wenn wir nächstes Jahr in unser Haus ziehen können und es noch mehr Platz zum Dekorieren gibt. At the beginning there was just one box with decorations on it. Now it is quite a lot more. But we'd like to make our visitors feel welcome. I'm very much looking forward to moving into our own house next year, more space for decorations!

Als Dekoration für ein candlelight-Dinner habe ich diese Amigurumi-Herzen gehäkelt. Anleitungen dazu gibt es ganze viele im Netz. Ich habe einfach ein bisschen mit Farben und Formen experimentiert. As decoration for a candlelight dinner I crocheted these amigurumi hearts. On the internet are lots of patterns for them. I just experimented a little with colours and forms.

Nachdem ich auf Pinterest viele schöne Ideen für die Gestaltung mit Knöpfen gesehen habe, habe ich meinem Freund eine Memorybox gestaltet. Die Anfangsbuchstaben sind aus Knöpfen aufgeklebt. Für die restlichen Buchstaben habe ich Luftmaschenketten gehäkelt und aufgeklebt. Die Box ist von Ikea. After I've seen lots of lovely ideas for crafting with buttons I decided to try something as well. I made a Memorybox for my boyfriend. The first letters are made of buttons. For the rest I crocheted chains and glued them on. The Box is from Ikea.

Ich schenke meinem Freund zu Geburtstag, Weihnachten etc. gerne etwas Selbstgemachtes - so zusagen etwas mit Liebe gemacht. Letztes Jahr hat er ein Fuchskissen bekommen. Da war ziemlich viel Arbeit aber ich finde es hat sich gelohnt. Die Anleitung habe ich von little doolaly ( www.littledoolally.com ) gekauft und auf die Grösse des Kissens angepasst. Anders als in der Anleitung habe ich das Kissen in runden gehäkelt, da mir das besser gefällt. Am Ende habe ich die Vorderseite etwas länger gehäkelt und auf der Rückseite mit Knöpfen zugemacht. So kann die Kissenhülle wenn nötig auch gewaschen werden. I like to give my boyfriend handmade presents - something made with love. Last year it was a fox cushion. Vor einer Weile habe ich mir ein paar schöne graue Pumps gekauft. Da ich keine passende Tasche fand habe ich mir kurzerhand eine gehäkelt. Eine Anleitung dazu gibt es nicht, ich hab einfach mal probiert. Das Häkelmuster sind abwechselnd feste Maschen und Stäbchen. Ich hab die Tasche mit einem schönen Stoff gefüttert und in der Mitte einen Druckknopf angenäht. Ich finde sie passt wunderbar zu meinen Schuhen und dem schönen Schaal mit Blättern. A while ago I bought myself a pair of nice heels. Because I couldn't find a matching bag I crocheted one. There is no pattern I just tried it out. I alternated single and double crochet. I lined the bag with pretty fabric and attached a button to be able to close it. I think the bag is a lovely match to the shoes and the scarf with the leaves on.  

Für die Herbst-Dekoration unseres Schalterbereichs habe ich mich dieses Jahr für einen grossen Korb voller Zierkürbisse entschieden. Leider faulen sie im warmen Raum etwas schnell und ich musste sie schon ersetzen. Die Holzbuchstaben habe ich im Depot entdeckt.  For the office autumn decoration I decided to fill a nice basket with pumpkins this year. Ich hatte irgendwo in einem Magazin einen schönen Beutel mit Herz gesehen und da hab ich mich am Wochenende mal dran gesetzt und ihn nachgehäkelt. Zuerst habe ich mir im Excel ein Tabellenblatt mit quadratischen Feldern gemacht und dann dort die Herzform gezeichnet, in dem ich die Felder mit Farbe ausgefüllt habe. Das habe ich dann mit festen Maschen nachgehäkelt. Das Resultat gefällt mir gut, dauert aber wegen der festen Maschen sehr lange. Vielleicht geht es ja auch mit Stäbchen, das wäre wesentlich schneller. I n a magazine I spotted a crocheted gift bag with a heart on it. So on the weekend I sat down and tried to make one myself. First I made myself a chart with square boxes in excel und draw the heart shape there by filling in the right boxes. Then I recreated the design with my crochet hook. I'm quite pleased with the result but it took quite long time because I made it with single crochet. I might try it out with double crochet, that should be quicker.

Ich liebe Füchse als Herbstdeko. Dieses kleine Körbchen habe ich nach einer Anleitung von Yarnspirations ( www.yarnspirations.com/patterns/foxy-stash-basket.html ) gemacht, ich habe allerdings feineres Garn verwendet und so ist das Körbchen kleiner geworden. Es gefällt mir so gut, dass nun das ganze Jahr ein Plätzchen in unserer Wohnung hat. I love foxes for autumn decoration. I doesn't come out only in autumn though because we quite like it.

Ein kleiner Kürbis für die Herbstdeko. Der Stiel ist etwas gross geraten. Eigentlich bin ich ja ein riesen Fan von richtigen Kürbissen für die Deko, aber in der warmen Wohnung fangen die schnell zu faulen an. The stem turned out a little bit big but I don’t mind that. I am a big fan of real pumpkins for decoration but inside the warm flat they start to rot quite quickly. Mein bisher grösstes Projekt war die Häkeldecke für meinen Freund. Eigentlich wollte ich sie ihm zu Weihnachten schenken, aber ich habe total unterschätzt, wie viel Arbeit es gibt. Insgesamt waren es wohl gut 200 Stunden die ich investiert habe. Gehäkelt habe ich überall, im Flugzeug, im Auto, im Zug, ... Zu Weihnachten hat mein Freund dann einen Gutschein bekommen und die Decke wurde erst im folgenden September fertig. Die Becke besteht aus 176 Grannysquares. Ich habe Garn in hellgrau, dunkelgrau und schwarz verwendet. Das Muster ist angelehnt an eine Anleitung von Junghans-Wolle. Die fertige Decke habe ich dann auf eine rote Flece-Kuscheldecke genäht. Im Moment arbeite ich an einem Projekt für Weihnachten. Marion vom Fotoatelier Schmid ( www.fotoatelier-schmid.ch/adventskalender-2017 ) organisiert einen wunderbaren Adventskalender an dem sich 24 kreative Frauen beteiligen.
